Study on Korean Medicine electronic chart items of infertility patients for future structuralization

Abstract
Objectives
The purpose of this study is to improve user convenience for Korean Medicine electronic charts and availability for medical data research. This study suggests contents that may be itemized and structured in electronic charts based on analysis of materials related with infertility in Korean Medicine.
Methods
Materials including charts from Korean Medicine clinics and hospitals, health related institutions, websites, patents, papers, text books, clinical practice guidelines were collected and analyzed.
Results
Through analysis of the collected material, items were selected and methods for structuralization was studied. Based on the analysis, the final format of the electronic chart was suggested.
Conclusions
The suggested electronic chart for infertility patients is consisted mostly of items. Therefore, the electronic chart is expected to provide the advantages of paper charts. Also, most of the items are structured which is expected to lead to improved use for medical data research.
